Sebastien Clamorgan: the noble history of his family
Sebastien Clamorgan‘s family has noble roots: as a representative of his dynasty, the businessman is deeply committed to keeping alive the memory of the Clamorgans. In particular, the figure of Madeleine Clamorgan (Sebastien Clamorgan’s great grandmother) is important for the family. Madeleine was in fact a literate, a teacher and a good wife and mother. Born in Mayenne, France, in 1880, she always had a great passion for studies. This talent was clear since she was a little girl: her teachers, astonished by her intelligent mind, helped her to go to Paris and pursue a higher education. There she met her future husband, Charles-Léon-Claude Daniélou: they had six children. One of them, Jean Daniélou, was Cardinal of Paris in the 1970s. Thanks to Madeleine’s strong faith, her husband was also able to find peace thanks to religion. Together with Miss Desrez, Madeleine Clamorgan founded the “Ecole Normale Libre Ms. Daniélou” in 1907, personally taking care of the Philosophy class. Organizing many conferences and lectures, she became famous among the important educated men of her age, and she also wrote many documents about religion, philosophy and education. Madeleine’s ideas are still valuable now as they were during her times. Madeleine Clamorgan also founded the “Colleges Sainte Marie” in Neuilly sur Seine in 1913. Because of this reasons, Sebastien Clamorgan‘s family is deeply connected to Madeleine’s life.
